Whilst building upon the Introductory WSET Level 1 course\, there is no need to have had any other wine experience to attend this course – a little knowledge\, and of course\, huge enthusiasm is all that is needed! \nOn the course you will learn : \n\n\nHow to taste and describe wine using the WSET Level 2 Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine®(SAT)\nHow environmental factors\, grape-growing\, winemaking and maturation options influence the style and quality of wines made from eight principal grape varieties.\nThe style and quality of wines:\n\nmade from 22 regionally important grape varieties\nproduced in over 70 geographical indications (GIs) around the world\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHow grape varieties and winemaking processes influence key styles of:\n\nSparkling wines\nFortified wines\n\n\nKey labelling terms used to indicate origin\, style and quality\nPrinciples and processes involved in the storage and service of wine\nPrinciples of food and wine pairing\n\nFor more information on the course\, you can read the WSET Level in Wine Award Specification here: \nWSET Level 2 Specification \n  \n\nCourse Information\n\nCourse Pre-requisite: No previous qualification required (although holding WSET Level 1 is advantageous). \nGUEST Program: Accredited as GUEST Program Specialist Unit 13. \nClassroom Course Length: 3 full days (09h00 – 17h30). We run internationally recognised and accredited qualification courses for Yacht Crew and anyone interested in Wine. As we are primarily a wine supplier for yachts\, our courses take place in the Spring and Autumn when crew are less likely to be busy onboard. \nYour educator for this course will be Helen who holds the WSET® Diploma with Honours and is also a Certified Educator for WSET® so you are in very safe hands!
