This example is dominantly fruity, showing good Chardonnay fruit (white peach, ripe dessert apples and pears, honeysuckle) with a hint of spicy, buttery oak, and a fresh, persistent finish. Not too much oak though, vanilla yes, and melon but so well integrated it’s tricky to define – it simply tastes gorgeous! The highly regarded co-operative, the Vignerons de Buxy are behind this little number and they deserve praise and congratulations for such a refined and well – balanced wine.
Drink with: Rich shellfish (prawns, scallops, lobster); Smoked oily fish i.e Salmon; Poultry in Creamy sauces; Soft & Washed Rind Cheeses; classic Roast Chicken with all the trimmings!
