Founded in 1969, the Wine & Spirit Education Trust provide and develop high quality education and training in Wines & Spirits. The WSET has grown into the foremost international body in this field offering courses suitable for those who deal with Wine & Spirits in their workplace environment.
They have also set up the Institute of Wines and Spirits for those who have passed the WSET Diploma, their top qualification (which Helen Brotherton gained in 1999). In addition to courses and qualifications for those in the 'trade', the WSET has a wider appeal with increasing number of 'consumers', and enthusiastic amateurs, who attend courses.
They may attend a course because of a wish to gain a formal qualification or simply a desire to enhance their knowledge of the ever-increasing variety of wines and spirits being produced in the world today. The WSET work through a network of Approved Programme Providers around the world of which FineWineWorks is one. These external Providers are rigorously checked to ensure that they deliver the high standard of teaching required to enable students to pass their WSET qualification.
The three qualifications listed on the left are recognised internationally as the leading vocational qualifications throughout the drinks industry. Click on each qualification for details.
Due to the continued and overwhelming success of our courses, now entering our 4th year as an Approved Programme Provider for the WSET®, we have kept our prices for these courses as low as possible, but there have been creeping increases in the costs of administering these courses through the WSET so from January 2012 there will be a very small increase in the prices to accomodate some of this!!!
